Shaping Better Behavior
One Tail Wag at a Time

One Tail Wag at a Time
Personalized training that promotes positive
behavior, and a stronger bond between you and your dog.

Does your dog struggle with barking, lunging, or pulling during walks? Let me help transform those stressful outings into calm, enjoyable experiences with gentle training tailored to your dog’s needs.

As a certified service dog coach, I train service dogs in foundation behaviors, public access, psychiatric support, and task work. My positive-reinforcement approach builds confident, consistent, and reliable partners.

Loose leash walking is among one of my specialties and a skill I love teaching. I’ll help your dog master calm, controlled walks, turning every outing into an enjoyable and stress-free experience for both of you.

Obedience training makes vet visits, medication time, and daily life easier. From sit and stay to fun tricks, I customize training to fit your dog’s needs, helping build trust and a well-behaved companion.

Our Stay & Train program allows your dog to stay in your home while receiving focused, individualized training from a certified service dog coach. Training in the home environment helps dogs learn faster and achieve more permanent results. We also have extensive experience working with reactive dogs, providing the one-on-one attention they need to succeed.
Each day includes two training sessions tailored to your dog’s needs, plus two 20-minute neighborhood walks per day if your dog is safe and comfortable to be walked on leash. We provide daily photo and video updates, and a 30-minute transfer session at the end ensures you can continue practicing your dog’s new skills at home.
When you work with me, you’ll receive personalized training that promotes positive behavior and strengthens the bond between you and your dog. With over a decade of experience and a certification in Fear-Free animal training, I focus on helping you manage your dog’s on-leash reactivity for more enjoyable walks and building their confidence through fear-free methods. Together, we’ll work on teaching essential obedience behaviors to ensure your dog is a well-mannered and responsive companion.
I’ll guide you through transforming unwanted behaviors into positive habits and offer expert help. Whatever challenges you face, I provide customized solutions to achieve lasting, positive results for both you and your dog.

“I am so grateful for his guidance and knowledge in the training of animals as well as training me to be a successful handler. From toilet training to loose leash walking in public places Scott has been instrumental in our progress. I love that we have achieved all our goals using a positive reinforcement training model. I highly recommend Scott as a trainer!”

“I have known Scott for about 5 years. He is my go-to whenever I have any questions regarding dog training or “different” behaviors. He is extremely patient and is always tuned into the pup to understand their tendencies. He’ll make you practice with him how to physically communicate with your dog and then give you homework to work on with your puppy – he’ll even send a written follow up after so you don’t forget what you practiced. We have had a few training sessions and a behavioral evaluation after she was attacked by another dog. He is one of the few people I trust with my baby girl and we are absolutely blessed to have him in our lives”

“We couldn’t be happier! Our dog had severe separation anxiety and was destructive when left alone. After working with Scott, he’s much calmer, and we’ve noticed significant improvements in his behavior. Scott really knows how to connect with dogs and helped us create a peaceful home environment.”

Company 2 Heroes is a non-profit service dog training program that helps veterans train their own dogs or rescues, at no cost to them.
Many are unaware of the long waitlists for trained support animals, which can sometimes be too late for veterans in need. This program bridges that gap by providing immediate assistance, training dogs to meet the veterans’ specific needs.
If you support this mission, please consider making a donation to help make a meaningful difference in the lives of our heroes.
